Fassai Registration

FSSAI registration refers to the process of obtaining a license or registration from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), which is the regulatory body responsible for ensuring food safety and standards in India.

This registration is mandatory for all food business operators (FBOs) involved in manufacturing, processing, packaging, distributing, and selling food products. The FSSAI registration ensures that the food products meet safety standards and are safe for consumption.

There are different types of licenses based on the size and scale of the food business:

  1. Basic Registration: For small businesses with an annual turnover of up to ₹12 lakhs.
  2. State License: For medium-sized businesses with an annual turnover between ₹12 lakhs and ₹20 crores.
  3. Central License: For large businesses, including those involved in importing food products, with an annual turnover exceeding ₹20 crores.

FSSAI registration helps in promoting transparency and accountability in the food industry, ensuring consumer safety.
